I will be taking SilkAir to fly direct to Chengdu. The departure date is on 27 October 2006, while the return date is on 25 December 2006 (Christmas Day).
This means that I will be spending half of Christmas in Chengdu with my family and the other half in Singapore with my mum.
It is going to be a meaningful trip as I have abundant time to spend in Chengdu of nearly 2 months. I will be working with the Chengdu side to develop CHENGDU TIME www.028time.com together. Hopefully, I can also visit my cousin and aunt in Linfen city of Shanxi province. As requested by my ex-teacher in Chenghua Shiyan Primary School, Mr Ye Xu, I will also be conducting a lecture for my fellow juniors in the school on either Malay language, English language, Introduction on Singapore, or all three topics.
I feel very blessed by the 60 day air ticket of just S0. This is the price of foreign students offered by SilkAir. Before I got the tickets, I did not know of such an offer. A few days ago, I visited the NATAS Travel Expo 2006, but all the tickets were as expensive as S0+, which is simply too expensive for me to afford. =P
I look forward to going back to Chengdu this year. I will also be bringing my maternal grandmother, Mdm Zhang Yuxiang to Singapore for a long period stay.
昨日，我今年回成都的日期已经敲定。我将于10月27日从新加坡出发，直飞成都，并在12月25日返回。这就是说，我早上在成都和家人过圣诞节，下午则在新加坡和妈妈一起过圣诞节。真酷！
今年归乡，将是有意义的一次行程。不只要在成都和成都方面筹备“时代成都”，还要去大姑在山西省临汾市住家玩，以及作为成华实验小学的学长，为我的学弟和学妹们演讲其中一个题目：英文，马来文，介绍新加坡，或者三者全部。
此次购票，我非常幸运，购得了新加坡胜安航空公司的学生特价票。由于中东局势不稳定，最近油价猛涨，导致航空公司纷纷把负担转嫁在旅客身上，而机票价格自然贵了。前不久去了旅游展，却失望地归来。这是因为机票价格涨到了新加坡元800多，实在是让我望而却步。
不过现在机票拿到了，我真得很开心。此次回成都，我也会把姥姥张玉香女士接到新加坡来，感受花园城市的美，并在新加坡小住。
